Michael Zarocostas is Senior Counsel whose practice focuses on litigation, bringing a combination of big-firm experience and a client-centered approach to every matter. He began his legal career at Skadden Arps and clerked for Judge Eugene E. Siler, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, where he received a Distinguished Service Award.
Michael earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law and holds a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Virginia. He is admitted to practice in New York and California, as well as before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Sixth Circuits and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York.
Michael provides sophisticated and intelligent counsel to clients while serving as a passionate advocate for their interests. He approaches each matter with a focus on efficiency, tailoring representation to meet each client’s specific needs and objectives. Guided by a commitment to candor in client advice and zealous but ethical advocacy, he defines success as achieving clients’ legal objectives in a cost-effective manner.
His experience includes securing meaningful results for clients, including winning summary judgment in an inadequate security case against a commercial landlord on behalf of a client who had been sexually assaulted. He is known for his intensity and focus, bringing a determined approach to high-stakes matters.
Michael is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Triple Nine Society. Outside of his legal practice, he serves as a varsity soccer coach in Los Angeles.
